The Minister for Ethics and Integrity, Rev. Father Simon Lokodo says
his ministry cannot adequately combat corruption and other immoral
vices in the country due to underfunding.
This financial year the ministry was allocated sh5b but the minister
says his ministry need a minimum of 20 billion shillings to be able
to effectively execute the ministry’s mandate.
This comes after mps sitting on the parliament’s budget committee
raising concerns that this ministry is one the most dormant in the
country.
Lokodo told the media that the ministry’s officials should be moving
around the country sensitizing people bu funds are limited yet
Changing people’s hearts is a slow process of attaining Integrity.
