EALA speaker demands for accountability

East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) members are expected in Kigali today for the official opening of their next seating.

The seating is expected to be opened by president Paul Kagame however some members have threatened to boycott the Kigali session and restart the failed censure process against her or seek legal interpretation from the East African Court of Justice.

Many of mps against Margaret Ziwa are fellow Ugandan EALA mps who have teamed up with some in Rwanda and Kenya

Some Eala legislators are embroiled in a long-running misunderstanding with the Speaker, Margaret Nantongo Zziwa, whom they accuse of abuse of office, nepotism, favoritism, and intimidation.

RT Hon Margaret Ziwa says mps who miss attending her sessions are not working against her but are cheating their own member states.
