NRM delegates in the north have proposed that Iife the post of NRM Secretary General is to continue being elective, the delegates should be allowed to line up behind their candidates.

NRM caucus publicist Evelyn Anite who is part of the presidential consultative team on manifesto implementation traversing the north saying the delegates want to line up to ensure what they called transparency.

She adds that during their consulations, several opposition supporters have defected to the NRM, adding that even several of Mbabazi’s coordinators have also surrendered to Museveni’s camp.

The team is part of the three others set up by the president to traverse the country meeting NRM delegates at district level ahead of the upcoming NRM delegates’ conference due in December.

The team is being led by Minister Rose Namayanja assisted by Frank Tumwebaze [western region], Richard Todwong [north] among others.
