Born Again leaders call on the president to pardon some prisoners

Religious leaders are asking the president of Uganda to issue a massive pardon to all the prisoners of conscience as a new year’s gift to the nation and their respective families and relatives.

The presiding Appostle of the Born Again Faith Dr.Joseph Serwadda said that the president should consider pardoning the former prime minister of Tooro kingdom John Sanyu Katuramu among other prisoners whom he says have learned their lessons for the wrong they committed
Dr. Serwadda made the remarks while briefing journalists on the Passover festival scheduled on 31st December at Namboole stadium.
He also asks govt to hold deeper investigations into the ongoing Muslim cleric’s killings to erase fears that are growing among the population adding that focus should not be put only on fighting terrorists.
He called on parliament and government to focus on legislating laws intended for family protection in coming year 2015.
He commended the Katikiro of Buganda Charles peter mayiga for perfectly demonstrating to thee people Buganda and Uganda at all that a leader acts transparently and gives accountability and he regarded Katikiro as his hero of 2014.
He also described General Salim Saleh as his best development oriented leader citing his Agricultural development project in Nakaseke at Namunkeeke saying this project could spark a new industrial zone in this area.
