“It is one of those dark days in Uganda’s music industry. A budding talent has been stolen from us by that cruel thief we call death. The best of your days were ahead of you. Yes, you AK 47 had only gone so far in your career as a musician and as fate would have it we shall not be fortunate enough to see what should have become of you if you had continued along the path you had chosen to take in life because well, death has done what it has always done, rob us of a person at a the wrong time.
Your last Facebook post before you died gives one more reason to hate this robber Death

The Circumstances surrounding AK 47’s death
The initial version was that he had slipped in a bathroom and died however the latest reports indicate that police plans to interrogate Jeff Kiwanuka, the manager of the singer, about AK47’s death.
The 25 year-old AK47 reportedly spent his final hours at Déjà Vu, a Congolese-owned bar in Kansanga, Kampala.
Some sources say he was involved in a violent confrontation at the bar in which he was beaten and had gone into the toilets to clean up the blood oozing from the injuries inflicted as result.
That was when he collapsed and later died at Nsambya hospital. Doctors who examined his body at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya in Kampala said AK47 had been beaten to death, contrary to initial reports that he had slipped in his bathroom and died.
Who is AK 47?
The singer was the last born of the Mayanja singing family with brothers Jose Chameleone, Pallaso and Weasel all established musicians. Of recent, he has been closest to Pallaso as a member of Team No Sleep, having quit Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island Crew last year.
What has happened from the time he was reported dead?
Social media has been awash with condolences messages going out to the bereaved Mayanja Family and photos of the late and plus his body in the Mortuary
Some Ugandans are not amused that some Media Outlets are speculating about the cause of AK 47’s death and that some people have posted the picture of AK 47’s body. They believe it is being insensitive to the bereaved family.
Blue T-shirts have already been printed, with the message at the back reading: “AK47 RIP. Gone too soon. We will miss U bro. Till we meet Again.”
