NRM youths have warned former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi against what they called distorting information regarding the party’s achievements. The youths, led by their National Youth Coordinator Mukasa Sewava Joseph, claim that the former premier is wrong to accuse the president of having failed to work on education and health sectors.
Addressing a press conference in Kampala, Sewava said the NRM government has been able to set up several schools across the country and health centers which has enabled an increase in school enrollment at all levels of education. On health, Sewava said during this regime the country has been able to get rid of several killer diseases mainly measles, typhoid, polio among others due to mass immunization in addition to setting up many health centers across the country.
He warned Mbabazi against what he called misleading the masses with distorted information which he says is meant to incite the public against the ruling leadership. Sewava says as youths they are not going to sit and watch Mbabazi doing all this against their leader and therefore will mobilise themselves and counter him and his agents.
Earlier this weak, Mbabazi declared that he will challenge president Museveni for NRM chairmanship and presidency in 2016 and also went ahead to issue his eight-point program citing education and health as key failures under Museveni.
