Nambooze says that the Constitutional Amendment Bill would not have passed if the opposition members were well coordinated. She says the opposition leadership in parliament sent mixed messages that left members confused on which particular way to vote or act to fail the passing of the unfair constitutional amendments.
The vocal member cites that whereas the Leader of Opposition had called for walking out of parliament in protest, the Opposition Chief Whip Cecilia Ogwal asked members to vote against the Bill although she changed her position at the time of voting.
