The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga insists that she will not allow Godfathers in politics of Busoga region. Kadaga told journalists she has no apologies for attacking the group which is planting candidates in Busoga. She said that she will continue to attack people who unnecessarily influence events to areas where they do not live, own land and are not investors in this region.

Kadaga said that there are big deployments of candidates and soldiers against some politicians and these are heavily funded.

The Speaker was recently accused of promoting tribal incitement when she attacked politicians from western Uganda and Rwanda, who were fighting to oust her from the Kamuli Woman MP seat which she has occupied since the constituency Assembly.
