Voters in Amuria, Katakwi, Bukedea and Napak are confused after checking for their particulars on the voter register and finding that their particulars, despite submitting them during the national ID registration process, are not appearing on the register.

Speaking to one of the voter education officers from Amuria district, Nathan Ebil, he tells us that many voters in the above mentioned districts are very much confused as the register contains no information of many of the citizens of voting age who applied for the national IDs.

However he notes that there are voters who appear on the national voter register and not appear on the youth register where there are some people appearing in both registers which has caused confusion among the communities in these districts.

Ebil now wants the commission to explain how this came about and make corrections before the elections kick off.
