President Yoweri Museveni and the First Lady who is also Minister for Karamoja Affairs Janet Museveni have today left for the Japanese Capital Tokyo, on a four day official visit were they will be hosted by the Emperor, Empress. They were seen off at Entebbe International Airport by the Head of Public Service, John Mitala; Chief of Defence Forces, (CDF) Gen, Katumba Wamala; Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura and Commissioner of Prisons, Johnson Byabashaija.
During their stay in Japan, the President and the First Lady will make a State Call on their Majesties the Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace. Their Majesties will later host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President and his spouse in a rare show of honour. Later President Museveni will hold bilateral talks with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who will also host him to a dinner in his honour.
