23 primary school children have been arrested over absenteeism from school and loitering in trading centers, these have been arrested in Bujogoro trading center Nyamarunda Sub County in the newly created Kagadi district caved off Kibaale district.

The Primary children between the age of 6- 13 have been arrested by Kibaale deputy RDC Emmy Ngabirano in liaison with the community leaders who found these children loitering in Bujogoro trading center, some vending water and others guarding gardens moreover while putting on school uniform yet the  school term has just started.

Bujogoro trading center residents who have witnessed the arrest of these children told this reporter that parents of these children are negligent and the children choose to end up in the trading center instead of going to school.

According to Kibaale deputy RDC Emmy Ngabirano, this should send a signal to both parents who don’t want to send their children to school and children who don’t want to study that he will catch up with them soon.
