In a bid to canvas for massive votes to see that the ruling party retains power come 2016, the NRM has today unveiled a 68 man national campaign taskforce that will canvas for votes across the country and do re-branding of the party activities during this period.
Addressing the media at the unveiling event today in Kampala, the party secretary general, Hon. Kasule Justine Lumumba says the task force chaired by the vice national chairman of the party has got components of spokes persons who will directly relate to the media during this campaign period and will not be directly linked to government duties. Among the members of the task force are Nyombi Tembo, Sulaiman Madada, Mike Ssebalu, Ofono Opondo, and many others.
In a related development, the secretary general also castigates acts of violence coupled with disruption of campaign activities of some candidates but took this chance to call for objectivity from media practitioners as they report the campaign trails.
