Youth under the National Youth council have elected the new office bearers. Elected members include Ms. Lillian Aber  as the chairperson, Felix Kaihura Safari, Ibrahim Kiatata as the secretary General, Samuel Odong is the publicity secretary, Karungi Caroline now is the secretary for Female Affairs, Olivia Mutesi secretary for students Affairs, among others.

Speaking to Journalists while announcing the new chairperson of the National youth council Lillian Aber says the new youth executive will continue to advocate for increased funding  for youth programs  like the youth livelihood program  and  operation wealth creation. She calls on government to approve a policy for companies to employ a big number of  fresh graduates for skill training  and in exchange these companies are given a tax holiday  so as youth acquire skills for the job market.
 
The youth leaders also appealed to the fellow youth to be careful of HIV/AIDS scourge and urged them to abstain from sex or  use condom against this disease. The youth say that they will demand government to ensure that all universities in the country are equipped with ambulances  to attend to emergencies in universities.
