The minister of justice and constitutional affairs Kahinda Otafire has advised the Uganda communication commission boss Godfrey Mutabazi not to shut up the former press secretary of the president Tamale Murundi. He said that those who are aggrieved by the utterances made by the former press secretary of the president Tamale Murundi while on radio or television should to take him to court.
Otafire told journalists that it is not fair for UCC to stop him from talking on radio since it’s his constitutional right to freedom of Speech.
This was in the wake of a directive by Uganda communication commission to stop him from appearing in the electronic media because of miss using the platform to attack people during his live talk shows. He also urged Tamale to take the matter to court if he feels that his right of freedom of speech has been violated.
