Following the death of the Bukomansimbi district woman MP last week, the electoral commission has now postponed the earlier planned electoral exercise for this particular post to a later date. Addressing journalists at the commission head offices in Kampala today, Eng. Badru Kigundu, confirms that they will communicate another programme for the same exercise but also took off time to send his condolences to the family, electorates and nation where late Hon. Suzan Namagnda hails from.
However following raising a complaint by Lwengo voter led by Matovu Posiano seeking to block the candidature of one Hon. Muyanja Mbabali from contesting on grounds that the education qualifications he used were not appropriate, the commission, through the chairman, has assured the electorates from this area that their issue will be handled at any time. The area electorates insist that the education papers used by Hon. Muyanja have serious question marks which also prompted Hon. Gertrude Nakawuki to file a case against Muyanja.
