The Elder’s Forum of Uganda and the Inter Religious Council of Uganda are of the view that the presidential debates be included in the electoral road-map to give more room to candidates to attend them with no big excuse. According to the chairman TEFU, Justice James Ogola, the just concluded presidential debate was very much successful and now are looking forward to hosting the second and they are looking forward to organizing the second one early February this year that will see candidates debate their regional, international relations, investment, peace and security policies for the nation.
Justice James also rubbishes the comment made by the NRM candidate, who was absent from the debate, who said that the debate was a secondary school debate as he says this was intended to help the nation get to know what the would-be presidents have in stock for the nation.
