Ivory Coast beat Gabon 4-1 to join Rwanda in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship 2016 on Sunday. Ivory Coast scored in the 19th minute through Aka Essis but Franck Obambou’s header grabbed an equalizer for Gabon in the 51st minute.
The Ivorian Striker Djedje Guiza was on target in 62 minutes, Koffi Boua and Nilmar Ble struck to make it 4-1.
In the other group A match Morocco humiliated hosts Rwanda with a 4-1 win but still could not advance in the last eight . Goals from Mohamed Aziz, Abdeladin Khadrouf and Abdelghani Mouaoui who scored twice were not enable the Atlas Lions to reach the quarter finals..
