As the UPDF prepares to mark its birth come 6th February, the force is set to stage a number of activities that are to give the communities a new face value and a better living. Speaking at the launch of the Tarehe Sita week at KCCA Gardens, the CDF Gen. Katumba Wamala assured the public that they are to spray bed bugs and cockroaches in Kampala, play games, carry out health camps that will see a number of uncircumcised men get free operation with all this done by the force members. He called for a closer working relationship between the Army and Civilians.
However, General Katumba Wamala assured the nation that the force will not look back as activists call and stage defiance warning that the force will come up in full swing to calm the riots and chaos down. The main celebrations will be held on Saturday at Kololo Independence ground. Launching the week’s activities will be tomorrow 29/Jan/2016 at division levels:
