The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has directed police to arrest unruly motorists who force their way through the section under UNRA works along Nansana –Busunju road. This follows the residents and users of this road cursing the ongoing road works due to heavy traffic and dust inconveniencing them.

The UNRA, Director in charge of Road and Bridges Development, Engineer Samuel Muhoozi, says that they met with police and agreed to enforce traffic rules at the sections under works on Nansana –Busunju road to stop the unruly motorists who have not been adhering to the flags raised to stop them for traffic flow. He says that unruly motorists will be arrested and charged for violating traffic rules and regulations on the road and added that the number of police traffic officers is to be double to enforce this directive. He added that the Spenkon services works in these sections will be relaxed at traffic pick hours like 6-8 am or any time when the traffic is seen to be heavy.
Nansana –Busunju road works will cost 54 billion shillings; it started in 2015 and shall be completed in 2017.
