The member of parliament for Bulisa county Stephen Birahwa Mukitale says that there should be a mechanism to have the leading opposition presidential candidate to physically be in parliament. Speaking to journalists at parliament Mukitale says the leader of opposition like Dr. Besigye currently should be in parliament to give his brain to the lawmaking process because it is missed instead of being forced into activities on the streets.
He says that the opposition should not lose hope to take power since the current president is tied for another term of office by the constitution which requires a person of 75 years not be contesting for presidency. He says the president should accept a national dialogue that brings all political players together to discuss how the country should be moved on without hiccups. He added that government should review the method of recruiting Ugandans for available jobs so as some regions are not neglected, adding that some regions are rapidly developed and others are still lagging behind.
