Stanbic bank Uganda has donated 24.3 million shillings as part of the contribution to needy children’s education. 9.7 million shillings will enable the construction of Ggaba Childhood Development Centre in Ggaba market. 4.8 million shillings is for training teachers in modern method of teaching children and another 9.7 million shillings for Missionary to the poor which looks after the needy children.
The chief Executive officer Stanbic Bank Uganda Patrick Muhairwe while speaking at the hand over of the 24.3 million cheque to the beneficiaries at Ggaba market said that the bank and its partners will continue supporting the needy people to improve on their livelihood.
One of the parents commended the bank for this contribution and urged fellow parents to own this project as their own. The donation was contributed together with GEMS Cambridge international school, MTN, Marsh Uganda, Silk Events, AAR Health services, Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Pepsi, Nationwide properties, among others as part of their social corporate responsibilities.
