Proline football club is back to Uganda Azam Premier League following a 4-1 victory over Lira side Sporting United in the play offs on May 22 at Nakivubo stadium.
Proline and Sporting United qualified for the play offs on Thursday after stunning Ndejje and Masavu respectively.
Proline’s striker Edrisa Lubega scored a brace to take his tally in the Big League to 21 goals and cap a mixed week in which he was summoned to the Cranes team.
On May 21, the striker was denied by organizers from featuring again for his school Dynamic SS at the Copa Coca Cola football tournament after he left to take part in the playoffs.
The prolines’ star got involved in all four goals for his side as he was fouled for Gift Ali to drive home the resultant free kick and gave Proline the lead that was cancelled out by a Dickens Okwi penalty.
He was brought down for Simon Mbazira to slot home a 54th minute penalty before he lobbed Sporting United goalkeeper Steven Odongo two minutes later.
The 17 year old made it double with a fine header as Proline joined Onduparaka and Kirinya-Jinja SS who had earlier qualified for Uganda Azam premier league.
Kirinya-Jinja who are promoted as Big League champions defeated Uganda Cup semi-finalists Onduparaka 2-0 with strikes from Musa Magumba before half time and Joseph Opolot after the re-start of the match.
