Minority groups in the country have petitioned the high court challenging the Uganda registration service bureau for failure to register them as a company limited by guarantee. The executive director Sexual Minorities Uganda, Frank Mugisha states that the URSB gave them reasons that they could not have them registered since they are not legally recognized by the national constitution.
Mugisha says they also have a right to associate and assemble just like other groups in this country and distances reports that they are representing lesbian and gays which groups were declared illegal following the passing of the anti homosexuality law.
