Members of parliament have called upon the leadership of Uganda and members of the  East African states to task South Sudan leadership to prevail over  its citizens to stop killing and torturing Ugandans in Sudan. Thiw was while speaking during a training induction by the institute of parliamentary studies which was chaired by MPs from East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) at the Ugandan parliament.

The MPs who include Nakasongola MP Mutebi Noah, Bugabula south county MP Hennery Morris Kibaliya, noted  that for a long time now Ugandans in south Sudan have been killed and tortured by Sudanese and  the
government in Juba  not doing much to stop these atrocities. MPS  say  that  the South Sudanese in Uganda are well treated by the Ugandans but Ugandans in South Sudan  are treated like non East Africans.
They said there is no reason for South Sudan government to be in the East African community if its citizens don’t respect the rights of other East Africans.
