Sanitary pads needed for school going girls

The Member of Parliament for Gomba west in Gomba district Robinah Rwaboga says that as government is looking for funds to provide sanitary pads to the girl child in schools there should be an intervention to urgently give girls in schools sanitary pads. Rwabwoga says that a number of girls are missing 3-4 days in a week over lack of sanitary pads being that they are expensive for young girls and poor parents to access it.

She says that many girls have failed to complete their studies making the number of girls dropping out of school to go up.She proposes that there should be a private initiative of making local sanitary pads for women, pledging to give support to any person with such creativity so as girls access them at a low price.

The president while campaigning for presidency, promised to avail sanitary towels to girls in schools so as they stay in schools.
