Government plans to construct 25 industrial parks in the 5- 10 years and ensure the availability of electricity and other requirements by the industries.
This was revealed by state minister for finance, David Bahati while officiating at the unveiling of a new product of iron sheets produced by roofings group of companies in Kampala.
Bahati says that government will do this in an effort to address the challenge of unemployment especially among the youth.
Roofing’s group of companies managing director Dr. Sikander Lalani says that the new product of iron sheets that is named AZED is more durable and provides corrosion resistance and minimizes abrasion damage.
Speaking at the same function the state minister for labor and employment affairs, Herbert Kabafunzaki says that government is in discussion to ensure that local industries supply materials for construction of dams, railway and oil industry in an effort to help them to grow.
