Four newly elected women members of parliament have been sworn in to represent their respective districts.
The five MPs were sworn in on Tuesday during a Parliamentary proceeding chaired by the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah.
Kagadi district Woman MP, Jeniffer Mbabazi Kyomuhendo, Rubanda district woman MP, Prossy Akampulira ,Omoro district Woman MP, Catharine Lamwaka and Kibaale district Woman MP, Kisembo Basemera took oath and added on the number of MPs now making a total of 431.
After swearing, the deputy speaker, Jacob Oulanyah handed them with a copy of the constitution and rules of procedure to each, urging them to represent their voters without discrimination.
