The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is set to start piloting its off –taker housing project intended to provide low cost houses to ordinary Ugandans.
Under this project, NSSF is partnering with private companies to build houses in agreed areas and later sell them to NSSF.
Speaking to media on Friday, the executive director of the fund, Richard Byarugaba, said that they have so far identified two developers and houses are set to be ready in a space of 10-12 months from now.
He explained that under this pilot phase, they have started with Sonde in Mukono district, Kasangati in Wakiso district and Garuga .The houses are likely to range between 150-200 million, he said.
