Job Summary: The Senior Advisor, Planning, Operations & Integration will support the A&EE (Advocacy & External Engagement) leadership in ensuring delivery of the advocacy and external engagement parts of WV’s new global strategy. This includes developing and implementing a strong planning and operations architecture and ensuring effective integration between A&EE and internal partners and processes. The incumbent is also responsible for the design and execution of both existing and new monitoring and evaluation (M&E) approaches for the Partnership-wide advocacy and external engagement ministries.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a strong planning and operations architecture.
- Tasked with ensuring effective integration between A&EE and internal partners and processes.
- In charge of designing and executing both existing and new monitoring and evaluation (M&E) approaches for the Partnership-wide advocacy and external engagement ministries.
- Acting as ‘Chief of Staff’ for A&EE.
- Line management (dotted) of 0.4 FTE working on M&E.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the World Vision Grants Senior Advisor, Planning, Operations & Integration, A&EE job opportunity should hold an MBA (Master of Business Administration).
- Strong technical skills in planning, operations, and M&E: able to take a lead role.
- Excellent written and spoken English: able to write and present at level suitable for leadership audiences.
- Very strong Excel skills and experience.
- Good planning experience.
- Prior M&E experience.
- Previous experience in financial management (creation and management of budgets).
- Srong PowerPoint skills.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of organizational strategy.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of INGO sector.
- Previous experience of working in complex, global organizations and virtual teams.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours where necessary to accommodate any time differences between self and supervisor/other colleagues.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
