President Yoweri Museveni has agreed with cabinet to change the sitting day for their meeting so as to ease minister’s work in parliament.
Cabinet sittings have been shifted from Wednesday to Friday of every week. This was approved by the cabinet in the meeting held last week at state house in Entebbe chaired by the president himself.
The Government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa confirmed the cabinet resolution while contacted at parliament.
She said that they have been founding it difficult to run both parliament and cabinet on the same day making ministers coming late to attend to parliament business which is in most cases require their presence to respond to issues raised by members of parliament .
She said that this new development will enable ministers to be available in parliament and avoid the excuses of being in cabinet
