Agago District Woman MP Judith Franc Akello says that tension is growing after the invasion of Balalo herdsmen who are ferrying thousands of cattle in the area. Akello says that Balalo herdsmen are hiring small pieces of land which cannot accommodate their animals and ending up  encroaching on people’s land for cultivation.

She said that as the President re-embarks on his National wide sensitization campaign on land amendment bill, should intervene by asking the gun wielding Balalo to vacate the area in order to avert the possible conflicts.

 Akello says that President Museveni should not even give directives to the nternal Affairs ministry or any other government agents to intervene because such directives have not been helpful in the past.
