Buliisa people angry over government suspension of their compensation for their land for oil reach areas.
Buliisa county mp Stephen Mukitale suspects foul play by the companies and the government and yet most residents in the oil rich Buliisa district have not been compensated for the last 12 years.
He urged civil society organizations to take keen interest in recovery cost claims by the oil companies from the government on investments in Uganda.
Addressing media today, Mukitale also demanded that land compensation and better coordination by government agencies in oil related issues for Uganda to achieve first oil in 2020.
