The Attorney General, William Byaruhanga has asked Ugandan female Members of Parliament to act as exemplary role models for young girls and women who look at them as their heroines.
Byaruhanga made the remarks while addressing female members of parliament who head parliamentary committees and their deputies at a training of female head of committees about the importance of communication and challenges they may face with poor communication skills held at hotel Africana in Kampala sponsored by the common wealth parliamentary Association UK .
He said that the female members of parliament who work on committees and parliament should inspire young women to take up leadership in future.
He expressed happiness about Uganda’s women representation in parliament which is at 34% compared to UK parliament which at 32 %.
