Sergio Ramos‘ response to continued criticism of his actions in the Champions League final has left Roberto Firmino frustrated, with the Brazilian suggesting the Spanish defender said an idiotic thing.
After it emerged Loris Karius suffered a concussion in a clash with the Real Madrid captain during the final, many have pointed blame at Ramos for the German stopper’s mistakes later in the match.
“I think it’s an idiotic thing for him to say,” he explained in a press conference.
“I prefer not to comment, he’s right that he’s a champion.”
This was in response to the Spanish international bemoaning the criticism he’s received in his own customary style.
“The only thing that is missing if for Firmino to say he has a cold because some of my sweat dripped in him,” he explained in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
