Distressed musician Melody has been accused of theft by workers at Sipapa‘s studio. At the time of his exit from the label, Melody revealed he couldn’t even afford rent since he was not earning enough money under Sipapa’s label.
Melody claimed that Sipapa failed to meet the terms in his contract, and that is the reason his career hit a deadlock. He says Sipapa focused mainly on the female artistes under the record label and no efforts were geared towards him to promote his music.
However, workers dismiss Melody’s claims. They allege that he was chased over theft. Musician Full Figure, who acts like a manager at Sipapa’s studio wasn’t shy to say, “Melody stole almost all our equipment here.”
Melody rose to fame after producing ‘Nkoleki’, a collabo with Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone which was facilitated by Sipapa. He has, however, recorded other songs such as “Ekigambo”, “Mulema”, “Kasala kubo” among others which have all slumped.
