Three-time UEFA Champions League-winning manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly set his sights on managing in the Premier League, and has a certain club in mind.

The Frenchman, who has been out of work since May, guided Los Blancos to three consecutive UCL titles, two FIFA Club World Cups and one LaLiga crown in his first senior managerial role.

Zinedine Zidane hopes to succeed Jose Mourinho as Manchester United manager as the former Real Madrid coach considers his return to football. Zidane was being lined up as sporting director at Juventus but wants to stay in management and has set his sights on the Premier League and, in particular, United.

According to L’Equipe, the 46-year-old is now keen to test his ability in the English top flight, and is especially interested in taking charge of Manchester United.

The Portuguese tactician is said to be under pressure to deliver the Premier League trophy this season, and it seems likely he will not remain in charge if he fails to do so

Some believe Jose Mourinho’s stay at the Red Devils is slowly coming to an end as the manager is not happy with the backing he has received from his board in the latest transfer window.

United managed to make only three signings before the deadline: Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant, who is a third-choice goalkeeper.

In the past, Mourinho has seldom stayed longer than three seasons at a club, and Zidane is said to be very aware of this, which is why he is apparently putting his name in the hat should the role open up.
