Arsenal and Tottenham could be set for a summer battle over Michael Keane.
The north London rivals both had representatives watching the England centre back during Everton’s 2-0 win at West Ham.
Keane has been in excellent form this season, regaining his place in Gareth Southgate’s side and performing well in the recent games against Czech Republic and Montenegro. The 26-year-old scored his first England goal during the 5-1 victory in Podgorica.
Spurs are expected to be in the market for a defender with doubts about the long-term futures of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, who each have one year left on their contracts. Alderweireld is available for £25million this summer due to a clause in his deal.
Arsenal are also looking at the position with manager Unai Emery saying in January that adding to his centre backs would be a ‘good option’.
Keane has been one of the Premier League’s best at the back this campaign, with his numbers for key defensive measures, such as tackles, aerial duels, and clearances per game, outranking all bar Virgil van Dijk.
