MP Alaso says government Helicopter might be a trap

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary General and Soroti Woman MP, Alice Alaso has said that the party will not risk Dr. Besigye’s life in any transport means provided by the government.

While talking to the journalists in Kampala today, Alaso said that government transport offers have killed many politicians and the party cannot accept to put its President’s life in jeopardy.

Alaso says that the party has decided that Dr. Besigye uses his vehicle from Entebbe airport to his home in Kasangati than using the government chopper.

The government had decided that the FDC boss, Dr. Kiiza Besigye uses a state helicopter from Entebbe airport to his home to avoid his supporters from blocking roads, businesses and causing security threats as they welcome him from Nairobi Hospital-Kenya.

Dr. Besigye went for treatment in Kenya after the government security operatives brutalized him in the walk to work protest against the high cost of living on April 28. He is expected back next week.
