Masaka Municipality Physical Planner Sarafino Oleti Eriyoto has been arrested for alleged corruption. Oleti was picked from his office by operative from the inspectorate of government.

Southern regional inspectorate officer Ruben Banomuzuni says Oleti is wanted for receiving a bribe of 50,000 to sign land documents authorizing the construction of a building in Masaka town.

He explains that Oleti was netted after receiving another 50,000 shillings as a bribe to approve the construction of a building in Katwe Buteko division.

The southern region police spokesperson Nuwa SSerunjoji says Oleti is being held at Masaka central police station awaiting transfer to Kampala to face the inter-corruption court.

Oleti he however blames this arrest on his enemies in Masaka municipal council who are on his actual job.
