China government is planning to build a nuclear plant in Uganda. The Chinese mining company IBI cops says they have already identified prospective land in Uganda on which it would like to setup uranium plant for nuclear energy.
Details of the proposed deals are yet to be reviled but the head of the Chinese corporation AJ Coffman says he has held fruitful meetings so far with government officials.
Currently there are no nuclear plants in East Africa and only one country South Africa has nuclear power in Africa.
China is on a rapid project to expand its nuclear ambitions overseas despite the Japan’s crisis in March.
