Top UWA management faces suspension

The commission of inquiry probing the mismanagement of funds in the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has recommended that the Ministry of Trade and Tourism suspends the top management of the authority.

Kenneth Magembe a Commissioner on the probing committee says that the top officials are concealing the evidential materials in the investigation exercise.

The commission which is led by the former Supreme Court Judge, George Kanyeihaba is investigating the lose of about 70 billion shillings allocated to the Protected Areas Management of Sustainable Use (PAMSU).

The officials expected to face suspension include; Marketing and Research Officer Vanisi Mirembe, Director for Conservation John Makombo, Financial Advisor Grace Kyomuhendo and Cashier Juliet Anguria.
