The East African Community (EAC) Deputy Secretary, Beatrice Kiraso has asked the government of Uganda to always scrutinize the foreign investors to avoid unnecessary competition.
While talking to the legislators Kiraso said that she has realized there are foreigners working in Uganda in positions that unemployed Ugandans have competence in.
She added that some foreign traders are scattered all over the country trading in very small businesses.
She urged the parliamentarians to supervise the government such that government acts detrimental to the development of the country are avoided.
She added that it is the work of the MPs to ensure government provides employment to the citizens, provide services and develop infrastructure.
