A 34 yr old Woman whose a 3yr old daughter was reportedly hit by a live bullet fired by Police, is threatening to sue the Government.

Rose Natocho, a resident of Mutumba Sub County in Namayingo district says her daughter was shot in the stomach.

The girl is said to have been shot by security agents who had been assigned to arrest her father, who had been suspected of defiling a 15 yr old girl.

Natocho says the Police fired bullets to disperse the people who were holding stones and sticks protesting the arrest of her husband.

She says her daughter became a victim in the process as she moved out of the house to check on with what was happening to her father.

The Police officer in charge of criminal Investigations, Namayingo District, William Twinomuchunguzi dismissed the allegations insisting that Police shot in the air.

Twinomuchunguzi also says investigations are on going to establish what really what happened.

The girl is currently admitted in Bugiri hospital.
