The Uganda youth development link have today presented to Parliament their finding on the sexual exploitation of children in Uganda.
The report indicated that sexual exploitation of children is infiltrating schools and on a very high rate in urban centers.
Their report shows that sexual exploitation cases have increased from 12000 to 18000 annually with more girls affected than boys.
The chairperson Uganda Youth parliamentary forum Nalwanga Rebecca Lukwago speaking to journalists shortly after the report appealed to Ugandans to try and restore the family values so as to reduce the problem of commercial sexual exploitation of children in Uganda.
Nalwanga says that parents have neglected their roles in the family and this need to be corrected.
She said that children come to the streets not because they are willing but because of other factors which should be solved by the government and the public at large.
