The Metrology department is predicting that most parts of the country may not receive rainfall until the month of September.
The department public relations officer Kalid Muwembe says the months of July and August are generally going to be dry in most of the parts of the country including the east, west, central and the L.Victoria basin.
Muwemba however notes that the north is expected to receive rainfall beginning this month to August.
He says in other regions the rain is expected to come in September with chances to stretch to December.
