Two arrested over deaths on lake Albert

Police in Ntoroko district are holding two men suspected to have killed two fishermen in the Lake Albert.

JacksonTumwine the CID Western Region says that the two suspects allegedly tied the hands of the two fishermen with ropes and later threw them in the lake while alive.

Tumwine has identified the suspects as Sango Jeremy 20 years and Kato Ronnie 16, all Congolese Nationals and the deceased as John Kule Bakacura, 17 years resident of Kibugo landing site in Ntoroko and Bwambale Buliye a resident of Kiruma village in Kasitu Sub County in Bundibugyo district.

Tumwine says that the cause of the grisly murder is not yet established but suspects that the fishermen might have had grudges at the landing site over the fishing gears or sales.

Tumwine said that two the bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the waters on Monday and taken to their ancestral homes for decent burial.
