The Eastern Motor club championship has attracted rally drivers both from in and outside Uganda. Paul Musoke the President Eastern rally Moto club says 45 drivers have already confirmed their participation in the championship.

Some of the rally drivers include Ronald Sebuguzi, Ponsiano Rwakataka, Susan Muyonge and home grown talent like Amiri Kawesa, peter Brown and sitavinda Singh.

The Eastern Moto rally championship is scheduled to take place on August 13-14 2011. Gadafi Mulufu Salongo the route safety supervisor says the rally will cover 280 kilometers.
He explains that the cars will cruise through Jinja, Kamuli districts. He says the first competitive section will be from Mafubira sub-county in Jinja up to Kagoma. Salongo warns rally drivers to observe the road safety guidelines to avoid accidents along the rally routes.

Ameri Kawesa one of the drivers has promised to give stiff competition to the top Ugandan driver especially those in Jinja.
Kawesa says his car is in good condition.

Susan Muwonge the 2010 national rally championship says this rally will help her prepare for the competition a head.
