The ruling parliamentary concusses has resolved to hold elections for its members vying for positions in the Pan African parliament.
The national resistance movement (NRM) last week presented four candidates for the five seats. However the speaker of parliament rejected them after the opposition and the independents took two positions.
Speaking to the press in Kampala the concuss spokesperson Evelyn Anita revealed that the executive had agreed to call a caucus meeting and hold elections.
She says the party will then present the names when the house convenes for parliamentary approval.
Dokolo woman MP Cecilia Ogwal and Kibanda County MP Sam Otada Amooti as representative for the opposition and independents respectively.
The NRM candidates include Onyango Kakoba, Sarah Katekendoboli, Beatrice Lusamiya Berunga and Abraham Loki.
