A workshop on Satellite Communications for English speaking countries in Africa will be held in Kampala, Uganda, from 22 to 26, August 2011.

The workshop will be hosted by Makerere University School of Information and Computer Science.

According to a statement from the organizers, the workshop is part of a capacity building partnership entered into between the ITU and International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) for the delivery of satellite communications training, under the aegis of the Centers of Excellence network for Africa.

This workshop will be facilitated by an expert with extensive experience in satellite communications.
