Butaleja district woman mp Serena Nebanda has appealed to the government and well wishers to come to the rescue of the people in Butaleja district affected by floods.
Speaking to the press at parliament, Nebanda says that the district has been hit by severe floods leaving more than 400 hundred families homeless.

She says that Butaleja being a flat area gets a problem of water from Bududa which is a hilly area and therefore called upon government to channel the water from as a long term solution but provide food for the displaced.

She says that she has approached government but government seems not to be serious on the issue yet people are likely to start dying
